Voting

I look over the ballot, and I realize that I cannot think of a way to get good information on the judges that are sitting unopposed for re-election. Do they stick to the law? Are they well informed? Do they have good intentions? Do they follow the constitution? I just don't know. And how many people actually vote for the judges or just leave it blank?

Therefore, as an experiment, I propose all of my friends use me as a write in for:
(spinning the random judgeship wheel)
JUDGE -4TH DISTRICT COURT 50

If you need to know my real name, post here or send an email to my LJ email addr.

And even if you do not vote for me, please get out and vote!

If I lived in MN, I would so vote for you.

Well, since I've already voted I can't.

There was one nutjob running against an incumbent for a judicial seat. He sent out a mailing that made virtually no sense whatsoever, I sort of gleaned that he was running because he was pissed off about the results of his divorce trial.

I voted for the incumbent in that race, but I can't remember the guy's name off the top of my head.

I know your first name, but not your last.

In one election a few years ago there was a judge or commissioner or something with the last name Bush. We were talking to our neighbors the next day and Steve said that even though he didn't know anything about her he couldn't vote for a Bush, so he wrote in hellbob. Hellbob did not win with his one vote.
