Silly Spam Subjects
Technical Bear

Got this one today -
Even for projects like GNU Emacs and XEmacs that forked over 15 years ago, some believe that the competition between the two groups has made for more rapid development of Emacs.

It was a hot stock tip spam...

Is it really bad that I don't understand why this is funny? (Or understand it at all, even?)

It is funny because the email subject, "Even for projects like GNU Emacs and XEmacs that forked over 15 years ago, some believe that the competition between the two groups has made for more rapid development of Emacs" is actually a semi-interesting topic to Unix/linux geeks. And that the spam is completely unrelated to technology. Well, ok, I might be the only person who finds it funny.

S'okay. You're cute enough to overlook it. :)

I got it. Good stealth spam.

I remember using Emacs once or twice. vi forever!!!!

Yeah, I used emacs at the U, but vi is so much more prevalent. I use it almost every day. I even have used versions of vi on PCs. But then I would get into Word and have hjkl all over...
